Stories for 8/25

You may want to check back later this morning for more stories because it looks as though a couple of newspapers' web sites have yet to be updated. Today we have more CalHi football previews, everything you wanted to know about Los Banos sports, and we catch up with some Lodi-area athletes.

In the 16th installment of ESPN/CalHiSports.com's preseason football preview series, the Section has two teams featured. Both Del Oro and Vanden appear in the latest preview story from CalHi. For the story, click here.

The Los Banos Enterprise has several stories in today's edition. For a brief on reserved seating for sale at football games, click here. The Enterprise also ran team previews for every sport except for football. Click on the sport for the preview: Soccer, girls golf, volleyball, girls tennis, boys water polo, girls water polo, boys cross country and girls cross country.

The Del Oro volleyball team, which advanced to the Section Division III semifinals last year, is going to count on a lot of new faces this year. For Eric J. Gourley's story in the Auburn Journal, click here.

The Oak Ridge football team is concentrating on conditioning this year. Matt Long of the El Dorado Hills Telegraph has the story on the Trojans' first week of practice here.
