DIVISION 2 GIRLS
St. Mary's 70, Del Oro 65
In what turned out to be a dynamite game, the Rams (25-2) got a hige 3-pointer from senior guard Ali Gibson with 1:35 left and held on for the victory over the Golden Eagles. Gibson finished with 25 points and seven rebounds.
The teams traded the lead throughout the game, with Del Oro holding a nine-point advantage at one point early. But the Rams kept battling back behind their full-court pressure defense.
Sophomore point guard Onome Jemirigbe spearheaded the St. Mary's defense and also scored 23 points. She added five steals.
Madeline Campbell and Crystal Sewell each led Del Oro with 23 points. Sewell also led the Golden Eagles with eight rebounds.
It was the fourth Section title in a row for the Rams, and the program's 12th overall.

DIVISION 4 BOYS
Colfax 53, Amador 44
The Falcons (22-9) suffered a major setback early in the game when leading scorer Chase Mosier went down with a leg injury, but they received contributions from several players en route to the victory. Mosier was averaging 20 points a game, but only played for 4 minutes, scoring two points. In his place, Austin Oberg scored 15 points and center Ben Buell added 10 points and five rebounds.
The Buffaloes were led by Clinton Tremelling (15 points, three assists), Max Perry (10 points) and Austin Johnson (eight points, 13 rebounds).
It was the fourth boys basketball Section title in Colfax history, all of those championships coming since 2004. In the last eight years, Colfax is 24-4 in the postseason.

DIVISION 2 BOYS
St. Mary's 61, Antelope 50
In a matchup between one of the most successful programs in Section boys basketball history and a school in the playoffs for the first time, experience ruled the day.
The Rams (21-10) pulled away for the victory thanks to an 18-10 fourth quarter. Alex Simmons scored 20 points to lead the Rams, and he also grabbed 11 rebounds. Teammate Chris Magalotti added 14 points and 14 rebounds and Justin Cox pitched in with 14 points.
Antelope stayed with St. Mary's for most of the game, pulling to within one at 43-42, but was never able to take the lead. The Titans, in the playoffs for the first time, were led by Jarvis Watkins and Isaiah Ellis (11 points apiece).
It was the eighth Section title in St. Mary's history; the Rams are 8-5 in championship games.

DIVISION 1 GIRLS
St. Francis 57, Lincoln-Stockton 49
The St. Francis girls basketball program has won more than its share of Section titles. But until this year, the Troubadours had never won a D1 crown. That all changed after they held off a talented and tenacious Trojans team.
The senior guard tandem of Jolise Limcaco and Briana Charles each scored 12 points to lead St. Francis to the victory. The Troubadours couldn't miss in the first quarter, jumping out to a 24-16 lead. But the Trojans chipped away, getting to within two points several times late in the game.
The Trojans were led by junior forward Nyre Harris' 14 points and 12 points from senior guard Devyn Weymouth. Lincoln, in the playoffs 22 times, was seeking its first Section title.
It was the eighth Section title for St. Francis, which won D3 crowns in 1991-94 and 2002 and won D2 banners in 2007 and 2008.

DIVISION 1 BOYS
Sheldon 84, Jesuit 69
The Huskies (23-7) won their second consecutive Section title behind 27 points and 14 rebounds from senior forward Darius Nelson. Sheldon is coached by Joey Rollings, who won a Section title with the Huskies' girls team in 2006 as well.
Sheldon received 18 points apiece from Ramon Eaton and D'Erryl Williams and 10 points form Dakarai Allen.
Jesuit, the DRL runner-up to Sheldon, got 17 points apiece from Akachi Okugo and Parker Uu. Broan Glodowski added 15 points.
It was the third meeting between the DRL rivals, and Sheldon won all three. Both advance to the CIF NorCal Tournament, which begins next week. NorCal brackets for all divisions will be released Sunday afternoon.

Look below for the recaps from Friday's Sac-Joaquin Section Basketball Championships from Power Balance Pavilion.

DIVISION 5 GIRLS
Bradshaw Christian 44, Brookside Christian 32
The Pride (22-9) jumped out to an early 19-7 lead and cruised from there in Bradshaw Christian's fourth consecutive Section championship in a row. Senior Jordie Smith, in her fourth Section title game, led the Pride with 17 points. She added 11 rebounds.
Her teammate Lauren Beyer, also a senior, had 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Brookside Christian, in the program's first girls basketball Section championship, featured a roster of only six players. One of those players, freshman Tiara Tucker, entered the game averaging 35.7 points in the postseason, but was held to 11. Bradshaw Christian sophomore Ashlee Jones was assigned Tucker defensively, holding her well below her scoring average.
Tucker made two free throws in the final seconds of the game, giving her 118 for her four-game Section postseason, which ranks her No. 2 on the all-time list, behind Nevada Union's Kellie Cook (149).

DIVISION 5 BOYS
Vacaville Christian 90, Bradshaw Christian 63
The Falcons (25-6) used a 29-11 third-quarter advantage to pull away from their Sierra Delta League rivals in winning the school's first-ever Section championship. Brandon Barnes scored 29 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead Vacaville Christian. Barnes' seven 3-pointers are a Division 5 record and tie him for the overall Section championship record.
Teammate Jake Abel added 22 points and Torry Arthur had 18 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Scott Ecklund scored 23 points to lead Bradshaw Christian; he was helped out by 15 points from Jake Adkins and 12 from Ron Henry.
The game was tight at the half, with the Falcons clinging to a 44-40 lead. But Vacaville Christian controlled the flow in the second half. The Falcons' 90 points were three away from the overall Section record.

DIVISION 3 GIRLS
Sacramento 63, Vanden 50
The Dragons (26-5) held almost every Vikings player in check, forcing 28 turnovers, in the victory over a team that beat them during the regular season. Sacramento was led by senior guard Fantasia Hilliard, who scored 26 points, had four steals and grabbed seven rebounds despite her 5-foot-3 frame.
Teammate Allie Green added 13 points and Jasmine Ware had 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Vanden was led by senior forward Erimma Amarikwa, who had 28 points and 11 rebounds. Amarikwa is going to San Diego State University next year.
