Lots of stories out there today, as we're on the cusp of teams' first practices on Monday.

It looks like the Elk Grove Citizen is kicking off its preseason football preview. It starts with a list of the top 10 preseason games concerning teams form the DRL and DVC. It's not from the SJS, but still interesting. The Modesto Bee has a story by Associated Press columnist Jim Litke on a book by New York Times reporter Joe Drape called "Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains with the Smith Center Redmen."
